Carlette DeLeon, affectionately known as “The Media Maven,” is one of Jamaica’s most respected publicists and communications professionals. As the founder and managing director of Breakthrough Communications, she has built a career representing some of the biggest names in entertainment, culture, and corporate Jamaica.

With a background in broadcasting, Carlette has worked across radio, television, print, and digital media. She is also the host of Tech4Life on RJR and contributes a weekly tech column in the Star, making technology relatable and accessible to the average Jamaican.

Carlette is passionate about empowering women, mentoring youth, and using storytelling as a tool for transformation. A published author, a dedicated mother, and a Justice of the Peace, she is truly a multi-faceted powerhouse.

In 2020/2021, she was proudly honored by the QORIHC (Queen of Reggae Island Honorary Ceremonies) as an Honored Queen, celebrating her outstanding contributions to Jamaica’s cultural and media landscape.
